There are a ton of features packed into Affinity Designer and Photo when it comes to grids. The default settings give you the typical grid you’re probably used to but upon further tweaking and exploration, you can tap into some gnarly grids. These can be useful for perspective drawings, icon library design, print design, and much much more.
